NLP Group of Charitable Hospital & Institutions offers two year CMS ED diploma program that provides you authorization to open your own fist aid treatment centre. It is a certificate of Primary Health Care by standard Allopathic Medicine, recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) for Primary health Care. Honorable the Supreme Court has ruled that holders of the CMS ED Diploma can use Primary Health Care treatment options for patients. The program helps you in pursuing your career in medicines without going for a rigorous procedure of doing an M.B.B.S degree. The program provides you lectures about the basics of medicines, demonstrations, and develops practical skills with the help of health camps, hospital & rural health centre postings, etc. CMS ED course is conducted by Indian Rural Medical Association (IRMA). By a decision of the Honorable High Court, after a diploma, you can work as a primary health worker and you can prescribe general allopathic medicine.

INDIAN RURAL MEDICAL ASSOCIATION

The Indian rural medical association is the pioneering and only body in Indian is embracing highly qualified doctors, the rural doctors of all the disciplines, viz allopathy, Ayurveda, Homeopaths, Unani and others including paramedics under one umbrella. This is an IRMA’s unique character and we are proud of it. This association is directly descended from Humanity Association established by Late Ajit Mallick under the guidance of Mahatma Gandhi during British Rule in 1924. The number of trainees rise every day; it exceeds 47,500 in January 1998. (Highest in the World) The association is affiliated to world rural medical association based in Geneva, Switzerland. It conducts training under guideline policy of WHO, UNICEF and Government of India. The association has a sister organization in almost all the Asian, African Countries namely Nepal, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Ghana, Vietnam etc. It has also collaborated on specific projects with Red Cross.

The candidates must be 10 or 12th passed in any stream from a recognized board to take admission in the CMS ED program.
Duration Of CMS ED
CMS ED is a diploma course not a degree course and that’s why its duration is 24 months or 2 years. The curriculum of the program includes 4 semesters of 6 months each and the last semester is the internship period.

Career Scope After CMS ED Course
It has been observed that there is a huge shortage of medical professionals in both urban and rural areas. However, rural areas suffer more due to a lack of medical professionals and there are approx 30% of centres run without doctors. Hence, it is important to fill these positions especially in semi-urban and rural areas with some certified doctors with at least basic knowledge of human anatomy, knowledge of medicines for primary medical care and first aid treatment. After the completion of CMS & ED course, candidates will be able to use Allopathic Drugs, which was approved by W.H.O for the urban and rural areas after opening his/her Primary Health Care Centre (PHC Centre) in the urban and rural areas of whole India. & Jobs at Govt. Hospital and private Hospital.
